Just exactly what DO doctors know about vaccines?
Turns out, not much. Same for nurses and all other "healthcare" professionals.

On January 5th, 2024, Peter Marks, MD, PhD (Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, US Food and Drug Administration) and Robert Califf, MD (Commissioner of the U.S. FDA) published an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) sounding the alarm about falling vaccination rates in the United States.
My dear friend Dr. James Lyons-Weiler, who happens to be a stellar researcher and statistician, wrote a great rebuttal piece, which I hope you will read.
Since I am not interested in reinventing the wheel or spinning my own wheels while trying to figure out a way to say what Dr. Jack has already said so well, I just want to add a few thoughts of my own to the discussion.
The opening paragraph of the Marks and Califf piece:
Vaccination is one of the most highly effective public health interventions, responsible for saving millions of lives each year. In the US, authorized or approved preventive vaccines must be manufactured with high quality, and the effectiveness and favorable safety profile of vaccines must be demonstrated. Their safety over time is also closely and continuously monitored through multiple overlapping passive and active safety surveillance systems…
If you spit out your coffee (or dandelion tea, in my case) when you read that, you’re not alone. If you’ve been following the vaccination issue for any length of time, and particularly if you pay attention to the work of Del Bigtree and Aaron Siri at ICAN, you will know that the claims about safety monitoring made by Califf & Marks are utter hogwash.
When Congress eliminated pharmaceutical companies’ liability for vaccines in 1986, it recognized that it eliminated the fear of losing money that drives companies to assure the safety of their products. Congress, therefore, made the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the parent department of the CDC and FDA, responsible for vaccine safety.
To assure HHS is actually performing this critical duty of assuring the safety of products injected into babies, the same 1986 law that eliminated pharmaceutical company liability also created a “task force” on safer childhood vaccines. This task force, made up of the heads of the NIH, FDA, and CDC, was supposed to make recommendations to the Secretary of HHS on how to make vaccines safer. And, as noted above, the law also required the Secretary of HHS to file a report with Congress every two years detailing its efforts to improve vaccine safety.
As many of you know, ICAN previously sued HHS for failing to file these reports with Congress and it admitted in 2018 that it never once filed a single required report with Congress. It also admitted that the task force had been disbanded in 1998! (source)
Now that we’ve cleared that up, let’s move to the second paragraph of Marks & Califf’s piece:
Despite the care taken in the development and deployment of vaccines and their clear and compelling benefit of saving individual lives and improving population health outcomes, an increasing number of people in the US are now declining vaccination for a variety of reasons, ranging from safety concerns to religious beliefs. Setting aside for now the controversial issue of vaccine mandates at the federal, state, or local level in the US, which are not within the purview of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the situation has now deteriorated to the point that population immunity against some vaccine-preventable infectious diseases is at risk, and thousands of excess deaths are likely to occur this season due to illnesses amenable to prevention or reduction in severity of illness with vaccines.
Of course! Let’s “set aside for now” the fact that these guys have created their own problem by lying to the American public over-and-over again, and not just during the period of time from 2020-2023. What DID happen during that time is that many people who had never before even questioned the safety or efficacy of vaccines got to see the sausage being made and they now have greatly increased clarity about what is really going on behind the revolving doors of BIG pHARMa and the American Government’s alphabet soup agencies that are supposed to be tasked with protecting the health of U.S. citizens.
As for “population immunity” against “vaccine-preventable diseases,” well, let’s just say you can’t lose what you’ve never had. Vaccine-induced “herd immunity” is a myth. It doesn’t exist and it never has.
Dr. Russell Blaylock says it well:
That vaccine-induced herd immunity is mostly myth can be proven quite simply. When I was in medical school, we were taught that all of the childhood vaccines lasted a lifetime. This thinking existed for over 70 years. It was not until relatively recently that it was discovered that most of these vaccines lost their effectiveness 2 to 10 years after being given. What this means is that at least half the population, that is the baby boomers, have had no vaccine-induced immunity against any of these diseases for which they had been vaccinated very early in life. In essence, at least 50% or more of the population was unprotected for decades.
If we listen to present-day wisdom, we are all at risk of resurgent massive epidemics should the vaccination rate fall below 95%. Yet, we have all lived for at least 30 to 40 years with 50% or less of the population having vaccine protection. That is, herd immunity has not existed in this country for many decades and no resurgent epidemics have occurred. Vaccine-induced herd immunity is a lie used to frighten doctors, public-health officials, other medical personnel, and the public into accepting vaccinations.
I wrote the article: The Myth of Vaccine-Induced Herd Immunity not too long ago, in anticipation of what’s to come when these guys double-down on their calls for more mandates. I hope you will check it out (after finishing this, please).
In paragraphs 3 & 4 of Marks & Califf’s fictional short story, they first pull out the old “smallpox and polio will come back!” fearmongering, and then go on to declare the success of vaccines at eradicating deaths from influenza, measles, mumps, rubella and other childhood infections. It gets exhausting trying to set the record straight with these guys, but here goes.
Vaccine proponents always want to take credit for the 98-99% reduction in mortality from these infectious diseases and they don’t think we are smart enough to actually fact-check them on their “disinformation” (i.e. LIES).
Marks & Califf next try to make their case that the best way to counter the impending disaster of loss of “vaccine-induced herd immunity” (which doesn’t exist), is to enlist everyone who works in “healthcare” to double-down on the message:
What can we do to start tipping the scales in the direction of evidence-informed vaccine acceptance to reduce the risk of death and illness from diseases in which vaccines are effective? Evidence indicates that the most trusted source of information about health decisions remains clinicians who provide care. Broadly interpreted this also includes retail pharmacists, who may serve as the only source of medical advice for the many individuals in the US who lack a primary care clinician or who are uninsured. All those working in health care, while being straightforward about the risks, need to better educate people regarding the benefits of vaccination, so that individuals can make well-informed choices based on accurate scientific evidence.
Well-informed choices? Accurate scientific evidence? Straightforward about the risks?
And we’re supposed to get this information from… ???
Marks & Califf continue:
We believe that the best way to counter the current large volume of vaccine misinformation is to dilute it with large amounts of truthful, accessible scientific evidence. To reduce deaths, hospitalization, and the burden on families and the health care system, all those directly interacting with individuals in a health care setting, ranging from front office staff to retail pharmacists to primary care physicians, need to focus at every appropriate opportunity on helping to ensure that individuals have the necessary information to make informed choices regarding vaccination, considering the benefits and risks.
Ahh. We are supposed to get scientifically accurate, evidence-based information that will give us the information we need about risks vs. benefits of vaccines, and we are supposed to get it from everyone in healthcare, from the front-office staff to the doctors. Also, pharmacists. Hmm. Okay.
You may have noticed that I didn’t say anything about the first sentence in the first paragraph of Marks & Califf’s little fairytale: “Vaccination is one of the most highly effective public health interventions, responsible for saving millions of lives each year.”
I’m sure you have heard this a lot. I certainly have. Every time I have attended a pharma sponsored event, or CDC “vaccine education” event, that is the opening line.
In May of 2016, while I was attending the AutismOne Conference in Chicago, there was a panel discussion after the viewing of the film VaxXed: From Cover-up to Catastrophe. The audience consisted of about 1,000 parents and family members of vaccine-injured children who had just watched the film together. One of the members of the panel was Dr. Rachael Ross, MD, PhD, former member of the cast of The Doctors television show. Because by that time I had already heard quite a lot from my own doctor and nurse friends about the miniscule amount of information they had actually been taught about vaccines, and because I knew someone would be filming, I asked the following questions of Dr. Ross:
As a physician who was going into practice… who was preparing to go into practice… to vaccinate… what were you taught, specifically, about vaccines? How much information did you get on ingredients? On the studies of them all given together? And how much information did you actually receive that prepared you for that?
Dr. Rachael Ross responded:
They don’t teach us about the ingredients. They don’t teach us about the studies behind it. I think what they teach us is that they’ve always been given, and that they cure diseases, and you just do it. And honestly… you know… from the outside looking in now, and as we’re saying this to all you people, I almost feel like an ass…
Are there any other doctors in here practicing medicine? It’s kinda like you just feel – you wake up one day and you just feel like, ‘Gosh… you know… I just am blindly, like a robot… going through with this, with no real data, no real information… didn’t know what was in them…’ And that’s part of why physicians are very resistant to this information. Because you have to sit at home, right? You have to sit at home and redigest and relearn everything that you’ve learned… and come to terms with the damage that you’ve potentially caused over the years.”
The video of this exchange was on YouTube but has been removed due to censorship. I had the foresight to transcribe it verbatim into a note on my phone, partly because the video was a little fuzzy and hard to understand in some places, so when I posted it elsewhere, I wanted to include the transcript. Thankfully, there is another source that can validate this actually happened. This is from someone named Brian Turbeville, who writes a blog called Natural Blaze:
I am thankful that somebody else documented this, as the video appears to be gone. If anyone has a copy of it, please let me know.
You might be tempted to think that Dr. Rachael’s experience was an anomaly. That’s understandable. It’s a hard thing to even contemplate that one’s trusted pediatrician or family doctor really doesn’t know squat about what he or she is injecting into your babies, toddlers, children, and teens. Or you.
On January 21, 2021, I made a Facebook post, in which I asked my friends in the “healthcare” industry to tell me about their educational experiences.
The post came around in my memories January 1st, 2023 and I resurrected it with another post, since I couldn’t share it without being censored and put in “Facebook jail.”
And here we are now, three years after the original post was made, and there are well over a thousand comments in the two threads. Many of the comments are from medical professionals. Many are from people who are reading the comments of the medical professionals and proclaiming their shock and dismay.
Here is a sampling of the comments from some of the medical professionals:
The first one is from my long-time friend, Dr. Gayl Hamilton, who sadly passed from cancer a couple of years ago. I have left her name on her comment. The others I have blacked out.
This next comment is in two parts, due to length.
The following comments are not all from medical professionals, but I want to include them in this discussion because I believe it is extremely important to know just how seriously the complete lack of training on vaccines is affecting the most vulnerable infants.
And this. The last one I am including here. I am including it because of the absolute truth of the commenter’s words.
I hope you keep this going. Most of us health care professionals need to be reminded . I had an adverse reaction to a tetanus booster in 1968. I avoided all tetanus shots after that. Never did that fact enter into my mind as a reason to question the narriative. “Safe and effective". When my grandson REGRESSED into autism at 1 1/2 years……that’s when I began to wake up.
It is utterly unbelievable that the scam has gone on this long--something like 200+ years, as I recall from Dr Suzanne Humphries' deep-dive research. I believe that the "Vaxxed" documentary began the current movement to wake up to the carnage (with Vaxxed showings and buses in other countries popping up as well) with Covid jabs a monstrous but effective followup....though people are still not always connecting the dots if the adverse reactions are delayed (myocarditis injuries and deaths, cancer, autoimmune issues...). Thank you for bringing up the subject again. The pharma monopoly and censorship behemoth is still puffing away and naive young parents are still getting sucked in....meanwhile you and others are carrying the banner, as do many who have been affected by these horrific, destructive bioweapons. We plant seeds. Some do sprout.
