I am 67 and for 40+ years lived in Europe. All of us, as children, had measles. I never heard of anyone dying from measles, and of only 2 people who had it twice. I was born at 7 months with a weak immune system and survived all the children's diseases. You can imagine my astonishment when I saw the jab schedule in the US. I think we got 2 - pox and polio, one of them making me so sick I spent the night in hospital (too small to remember, mom told me later on). And even more astonishment when all of a sudden everyone got crazy when the wuflu came - or did not LOL. Some say there was nothing, really, just another flu season, and I think that is probably the most sensible explanation.

I think the cdc reported 2 deaths from measles within the time period you mentioned. I don't have access to the computer on which I saved most of my vaccine research and I'm not sure the cdc website is entirely functional presently with doge doing its thing. If I'm recalling correctly, those 2 deaths were adults with multiple comorbidities.
