I kept saying to my sister, son and friends I was with "I can't believe the words I am hearing right now!" It was an incredible event. Long past time we get a Thinking Mom into the White House!!
Because by now, I have learned the importance of exercising discernment:
Something I’ve noticed is a human vulnerability toward immediately and easily believing that which we want to be true and a resistance toward facing the truth when reality is painful.
I’m as guilty as the next person. It can happen to anyone, including RFK Jr. Including Nichole Shanahan.
Having the money to run a successful campaign is critical. Sure, it’d be nice if money magically appeared. But what is the reality of how money works? Especially in politics.
Look at #13 and #14. This is the original source of her wealth. Read #14 first and then #13 because that is the actual order of events. Totally poor, on welfare. Travels to home country of China. Returns and founds a massive AI start up company. Where did the start up funds come from? About how much would have been required? How did she acquire the technology to start this company?
Good intentions aren’t enough. Every doctor who administers vaccines has good intentions.
What are the behind closed doors transactions?
We must remain vigilant. That’s all I’m saying.
I hope and pray for the best like everyone else, but that doesn’t mean I blindly jump. Never again.
She is a Soros and Hillary Clinton supporter, backs abortion on demand, radical climate activist, supported defunding police and bail reform. She is not presidential material. And if something happened to RFK, she would be president. This would be a dream come true for the radical left.
You are judging her for things she believed snd supported prior to the 2020 election, snd prior to her daughter’s autism diagnosis.
If you’d like to paint me with the same brush, prior to my daughter’s injury, I was a PhD candidate at George Washington University, in the Health and Social Psychology program, heading for my ultimate dream job of being a clinical researcher at the CDC.
One thing changed. My daughter’s injury changed everything and I became an activist against the things that harmed my family.
People do change, and in my experience, the thing that changes a mother fastest is when she realizes what actually happened to her child and who is responsible for that damage.
Yes, people can change and sometimes do. I do believe you have actually changed, as evidenced in your writing in your many Substack posts. There needs to be evidence Shanahan has changed in order for me to believe she would be a good candidate for Vice President. Emotions aren’t enough.
I also might add that you aren’t running for Vice President. I think she needs longer to cement her views, if they have indeed changed. It isn’t even clear to me that she is anti-vax or ex-vax after what she and her daughter have been through.
She can do all of those things outside of the VP office. She is not Presidential material, and that is how I look at this.
I applaud her stances, grieve her experiences, and hope that she can find a place to make a difference.
However, that is not the VP office. She is not my idea of what our country needs in a leader. I hear her, and you who have lauded her words, but this goes beyond to a person to battle the dark forces and not kneel to those behind curtain pulling the strings.
I have heard nothing from her that makes me think she is not presidential material. She is brilliant, motivated, and highly skilled and experienced in technology, including AI, which is a huge issue that no other politician is doing anything about.
She has the intellect snd the skills to really understand huge data sets, and in today’s world, the importance of that cannot be overstated. In my view, she is highly qualified to be president in the modern world - far more qualified than any of our most recent presidents have been.
